About Us

ForestScapes LLC is a leading vegetation management and wildfire prevention company serving Northern California. We specialize in fuels reduction, forest restoration, and defensible space projects funded by state, federal, and local agencies.

We are building a high-performance crew focused on forest health, fire resilience, and meaningful outdoor work.

What You’ll Do

  • Operate chainsaws for felling, limbing, and bucking
  • Perform fuel reduction, thinning, and defensible space work
  • Assist with piling, burning, and chipping operations
  • Work on steep, rugged terrain in all weather conditions
  • Maintain saws, tools, and equipment
  • Follow strict safety protocols and crew leadership

Requirements

  • 1+ year forestry, logging, or vegetation management experience
  • Chainsaw experience not required but preferred
  • Valid driver’s license OR have reliable transportation
  • Able to hike, lift 50+ lbs, and work long days outdoors

Preferred (Higher Pay Eligible)

  • S-212, S-130/190 (wildland fire certs) management experience
  • Fuel work/ grant-funded project experience
  • First Aid / CPR
  • Equipment experience (chipper, skid steer, etc.)

GROUNDSMAN (Tree Service / Entry-Level Forestry)

📍 Northern California
💲 $18 – $26 per hour (DOE)

About the Role

This is an entry-level position supporting tree crews and forestry operations. You’ll work directly with climbers and sawyers while learning skills that can lead to higher-paying roles.

What You’ll Do

  • Support climbers during tree removals and pruning
  • Operate wood chippers and small equipment
  • Drag brush, manage debris, and maintain job sites
  • Handle ropes and assist with rigging
  • Assist with vegetation clearing and fuel reduction
  • Maintain a safe and efficient work environment

Requirements

  • Strong physical fitness (lifting, hiking, all-day outdoor work)
  • Drivers License OR Reliable transportation
  • Willingness to learn and take direction

Preferred

  • Landscaping, forestry, or tree work experience
  • Chainsaw experience
  • CDL or trailer experience
  • First Aid / CPR

TREE CLIMBER / ARBORIST (High-Skill Role)

ForestScapes LLC – Tree Climber / Arborist

📍 Northern California
💲 $30 – $45 per hour (DOE + certifications)
🕒 Full-Time

About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Tree Climber / Arborist to perform technical tree work, hazard removals, and defensible space operations in fire-prone environments.

This is a high-responsibility, high-skill position with strong earning potential.

What You’ll Do

  • Climb trees using modern rope systems (SRT/DRT)
  • Perform technical rigging and removals
  • Prune trees to ANSI standards
  • Lead ground crew during operations
  • Assess tree hazards and risk
  • Maintain climbing gear and enforce safety standards
  • Assist with defensible space and fire mitigation

Requirements

  • 2+ years of professional climbing experience
  • Strong rigging and removal skills
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred (Higher Pay Eligible)

  • ISA Certified Arborist
  • CTSP certification
  • Experience in fire mitigation / defensible space
  • Equipment operation experience
